If in Doubt…Dance it Out! ‘Worry’
Video 1 – Worry
This video is the first in a series helping children aged 7-11yrs, to recognise, express and regulate their emotions through creative dance and movement.
Created by dance movement psychotherapist Fiona Anderson, this video combines dance therapy theories into fun improvisations, warm ups and games that will keep children engaged whilst helping them to relax and improve their emotional intelligence.
Strong & Brave – Dance Tutorial
Join in with Rachel McFadyen as she leads a silly warm-up song, then teaches some simple moves to a really fun song about being brave and strong!
Rachel is a musical theatre performer and spent the majority of her early teens in PACE! She graduated in June of 2019 with a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre and has since been living, working and auditioning in London. Rachel has extensive experience in working with young children – for the past year she has been working as a teaching assistant in a Montessori nursery, and also as a children’s entertainer delivering dance/drama parties and classes for children between the ages of 2-6.
Yoga Session 1 – Flow with Sarah
This is the first in a series of online yoga sessions, led by Sarah Haddath. Sarah trained at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland has been working as a singer and actress for the last 7 years. Throughout her training and career she has been a yoga student and teacher. She primarily teaches Vinyasa Flow and Yin.
Yoga is a great compliment to any of the performing arts as it helps us with body awareness, mindfulness, breath control, fitness, grounding, stress relief, self discipline… the list goes on!
These videos aim to give you the space and time in the day to focus on yourself. Maybe you will learn something new about your body’s anatomy; maybe you will discover you are really good at balance postures (or not!); maybe you will simply find you are a little more relaxed after the class; whatever it is just enjoy it – it’s only yoga after all.
