PACE is a theatre company based in Paisley, specialising in teaching young people drama, arts and performance skills, and creating performances for families and young audiences. Our mission is to be a world-class youth theatre organisation; allowing as many young people as possible to benefit – educationally, socially and culturally – from the performing arts.
PACE’s core business consists of providing weekly youth theatre workshops for over 1,000 young people and performances during school holidays. We have also produced the annual pantomime at Paisley Arts Centre for 30 years, with a cast of professional actors and youth theatre members. In addition to this PACE has also: toured schools with educational workshops, performances and participatory projects; created professional theatrical productions for businesses and organisations for educational and training purposes; created youth theatre and other performances for local events; created films and other media in partnership with other organisations with a focus on young people; run a casting service to promote opportunities for our members in TV and film; hired its theatre and rehearsal space and professional services to other companies for performances, conferences and other events; and sought further funding through grants, fundraising, in-kind support and donations.
In recent months PACE has undergone a process of re-imagining how it can best achieve its objectives and a new Business Development Plan has been created to further this.
Purpose of the Post
Working closely with the Chief Executive, the Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing effective marketing and PR strategies and campaigns to promote PACE Youth Theatre membership and events and PACE Theatre Company productions. They will also lead on ensuring that a consistent, professional brand identity and voice is promoted in publicity, social media and other channels, and produce publicity materials and digital content as required.
