So this week , we show.
It’s been a journey of its own Jolly French Nature hasn’t it ?
From “aw he haw “right through to ” Magnifique!”
As a younger , smaller cast this year , you have found your way amidst the professionalism and focused friendship of many talented others.
Fantastic team leaders , caring deputes and positive peer pressure, have helped many of you face drama fears and come out better on the other side of this process and although we are not done , we are close to being ready – to do what we love best!
Time has brought us here and now , and on Thursday Night – Team Un ! will launch the play.
<< Allez Les Bleues>> but << all for one and one for the 4 teams all >>
PACE Panto is an experience that makes many feel complete here.
Harder work , faster paced action , stronger body work and a necessary perfect attitude help make performance goals clearer and achievable by all , this rehearsal way.
I think most of the Cast get this now.
I think you understand that in Spires 1 Panto – focused effort = performance success.
Seeing some first time ” pantoers ” skilfully manoeuvring difficult heavy “set” trucks about the stage in technical rehearsals, last week , with such confidence and ease, is so great to see – and if I’d had to tell them they had to do that 7 weeks ago – they would probably have laughed or left !
It’s magic – this process – it makes you “PPP – perfect pace packages” and wraps you all , beautifully , up for Christmas.
We have a tough few rehearsals ahead , Techs and Dresses can be ” tricky ” – factor in costume and back stage conditions and everything changes again…
But there is a feeling of ” Joyeux Noel ” in the air , a sense of anticipation , even if some are still a litlle under rehearsed in certain numbers?
A certain ” Je me sais qoui ” this year, that wasn’t there last year – even though it was an amazing show.
Hard to figure why this year is different , maybe just a more honest feeling of collective youthful energy all working towards the same happy end…
And for me, it’s always fantastic to see “new talent” breaking through during this process , new passion emerging through previous slightly vacant stares, new faces eyebright , ready to take their place in PACE’s more bespoke creative heritage .
And with a month of shows ahead , the opportunity for even more of you to find your ” va va voom” stage feet and drive forward into brighter PACE 16 futures.
Pictures hold moments that these wordy posts can’t often convey.
Above some simple instant phone snaps that in truth may lack a bit of proper camera focus , but which definitely give a dramatic impression of the ” Folie ” fun we’ve had.
Pauline did take some much better shots during our “fun” Sunday rehearsal ( the day we played ” hookie” and didn’t run routines but acted like 5 year olds , in a zero gravity political circus ! )
Can’t wait to see those as well ! Will post them soon on PACE FB page.
So << Enfin mes Amis >>
Panto kits at the ready , shoes brushed , hair styled , smiles polished…
And let us
SPARKLE AWAY !
