Hundreds of “matryoshka dolls”to welcome you to the PACE panto rehearsal space – and what a warm ( not just the room) welcome it was yesterday – plenty of Russian Spirit on hand and good first Russian “Steppes” taken from this “big-bold-bright- bolshy” performance cast for 2013.
Here is a short ” To Do” List for you to check off for next week’s rehearsal:
Read this post!
Read the post “Troikas at the ready” ( if haven’t already done that – to remind you of the rules of the rehearsal room and artistic challenge ahead – as spoken about in last rehearsal)
Organise correct footwear for next week – and if a girl ( a practise skirt) and if a boy ( joggies that you can roll up).Look right – feel right – ACT better!
Write down contact number x 3 (for you to give to your shadows next week)
Female Serf Chorus – remember to bring a practise handkerchief to rehearsal on Saturday ( or a small head square) – no tissues please! Cut up an old piece of clothing material if stuck !
If you have time – Google “Russian culture” images again – keep in this pantos Russian style with good acting references for your performance work – look at Russian faces and how they hold their bodies in their dance moves.
Start to “keep fit” more – try a bit of extra exercise this week for your legs especially.
Learn your song words off by heart ( someone – won’t embarrass them – left their’s in the room – good luck with that!) – opening song music will appear on this page soon to listen to – use it – remember clipped diction and no hanging around on the notes!
Check new rehearsal schedule that is available to see on this blog page and also STS web site ( any problems seeing it contact – firstname.lastname@example.org) and change any dates that you may have put in your calendar or diaries at home from before. Make sure your parents see it.
Check Panto Cast Hub/ STS blog page again at end of this week to check nothing new has appeared you should know!
Well done to all for a difficult 4 hours of cramped meeting work – we always have to start with talking – the routines begin this weekend – be ready for short bursts of Russian styled performance work and team bonding.
See all Serfs at 12.3O for Troika time.
Citizens to join us for opening block at 3pm
(Hair up and away from your face and back out of eyes please – boys included)
