Can you see the Greek Flag yet? Waving the arrival of the finish line?
Not just the end of the Verona Cup Challenge 2013 – but the end of Firefly 2013.
I have had another quick check of the drop boxes and “same old same old” – either too short to count or not enough to merit a better pass grade.
Remember what the point of this is – it is to pass with flying colours not a scrape through – we don’t scrape anything in STED.
I hope you have some hard copy evidence stored away somewhere to back up your leaky drop boxes.
Best log progression I have read so far in terms of personal development comes form Cheryl MCGregor – each log we see her grow and learning more and more about herself and the rehearsal room and the play ( the point of a module in the first place) –
Some still see it as a place to sound of about the small stuff!! The petty and the unimportant in the grand Greek scheme of things. Narrow mind makes for a hollow performance.
And you know what they say – learn to…
You will feel so much better when you look up at the sky instead of your feet.
Are you different from this time
– have you grown – learned new skills- learned how to handle others- learned about Greek Theatre – Greek music – Greek dancing – Greek Art ?
Are you more confident than when you started – can you work with new people effectively – are you your own creative voice in a good choral way – has this project made a difference to your life?
If yes is your answer then you deserve to get this module with Greek Flying colours – like the image at the head of this post – out of the blank canvas comes a bright creative honest blue future.
I love this picture – I don’t know why – well maybe I do- it speaks action to me – forward motion and energy – the kind of energy I thrive off in a theatre sense.
You have now created this new energy – the drive to lead and set new higher standards for people to follow – maybe this is the last phase in the transition from the old tired “theatre school” of yesteryear to the new directions of the Spires Academy of Excellence.
Theatre School gave us a horizon to swim towards – this new wave takes us over the horizon and on into a bright blue future.
You are inspiring younger generations like our motto for Spires says ” we inspire so you aspire”
Dragonfly want to be you – Chrysalis want to see you.
We are a part of PACE that is both unique and beautiful – our craft is our creed.
As you move in to your final weeks of this project – take heart form knowing that what you do makes a huge difference in PACE.
You matter – you count – you deserve to feel proud.
Keep the logs coming – maybe now you will have something to write about.
